PRESENTATIONS Globalization and Culture Conference, Rochester, NY (April 8-9, 2011)
La herida” de NAFTA/TLC para las mujeres de Juárez – Panel presentation to college students, professors and the community which discussed NAFTA and its effects. It analyzed whether NAFTA/TLC has effectively contributed to better social and working conditions of Mexican women in border cities, such as Juárez.
Political Science Thesis Presentation for Senior Seminar, Rochester, NY (March 2011)
“Las Abandonadas” How Feminist Theory explains the negligence of the Mexican government in relation to the Femincidio in Ciudad Juárez. This was a research presentation to college students and professors about the disappearing women in Juárez, and how cultural forces and the socioeconomic status of the victims are underlying causes of the Mexican government’s failure to effectively respond to the femincidio that is occurring in these locations.

INTERNSHIP Monroe County Election Fellowship, Rochester, NY (06/11-11/11)
EXPERIENCE This program was established to recruit, train, and retain college poll workers. These Fellows receive advanced technical, civic and leadership training, and design and implement strategies to recruit additional poll workers from their respective colleges. Fellows will serve as coordinators for the Election inspectors on Election Day. Fellows will have experienced the importance of civic engagement, and community or public service.
